Primary Function

Plans, installs, troubleshoots, and performs maintenance on communications and information technology (IT) systems for project information and communications programs. Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission and values.

Essential Functions

  • Consolidates system and network statistics and reports
  • Provides technical assistance to for Contractor personnel
  • Establishes workload, work schedules, and maintenance priorities
  • Operates and performs preventative maintenance checks and service (PMCS) on assigned equipment, vehicles, generators, commercial off the shelf (COTS) computer hardware and software, local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs)
  • Instruct selected personnel in basic computer operation, word processing, and e-mail functions
  • Maintain inventories of all assigned equipment

Job Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience in military electronic systems, computer systems, communication systems, communications security, and satellite systems, equivalent to MOS 25U Signal Support System Specialist (MOS 31U prior to FY 2005)

  • Must possess Microsoft Certified Systems Expert (MCSE) certification in two (2) of the following areas:
    • Server infrastructure
    • Desktop infrastructure
    • Data platform
    • Communications
  • Must have a valid US Passport
  • Must have a current US driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a physical fitness agility test and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening; position is also subject to random drug screening throughout the course of employment
  • If prior US Military, must have an honorable discharge
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation and possess the criteria to be awarded and maintain the necessary US-issued security clearance
  • Must be able to pass a medical physical approving candidate for overseas work
  • Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order
  • Attend and successfully complete the NPSS training course
  • Qualify with the Glock-19 and M4, re-qualifying as required by the task order
  • Must possess the ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
