Primary Function

Responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of all ammunition supply point employees. Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated mission and values.

Essential Functions

  • Provides overall guidance and oversight to ammunition, supply, and maintenance operations
  • Sets work priorities and resolves problems associated with operations
  • Ensures compliance with the performance work statement (PWS), Department of the Army regulations, and applicable FAR clauses
  • Manages and directs all quality inspections, safety inspections, and training courses required for day to day operations
  • Perform periodic management reviews throughout all operational areas
  • Oversee a comprehensive physical security program for both the TSA and ASP
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of Standard Army Ammunition System-Modernization (SAAS-MOD) computer system to maintain accountability of munitions, munitions residue and packaging material
  • Has the overall responsibility for the management, control, and inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), Government Furnished Materials (GFM) and Government Furnished Services (GFS)
  • Interfaces with the Government appointed Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Quality Assurance Specialist Ammunition Surveillance (QASAS) inspectors
  • Provides Senior Government and company officials with oral, written and graphic reports

Job Requirements

  • Minimum four (4) year college degree required from an accredited educational institution, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Minimum twelve (12) years’ experience in ammunition operations
  • Within the last ten (10) years, six (6) of those years he/she must have supervised a minimum of twenty-five (25) personnel in logistics operations
  • Must have a working knowledge of automated data processing systems and within four months of hiring be proficient through day-to-day demonstrated performance and use of SAAS-MOD
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Project/Department Manager must be fluent in speaking and writing the English language.
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
  • Must be willing to travel OCONUS
  • Must be able to pass a physical approving candidate for overseas work
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements
  • If former military, must have received an honorable discharge
  • Must possess valid passport
  • Must have experience in applicable safety standards
