Primary Function

Design and develop web-based programs using a Microsoft SQL Server relational database. Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

Essential Functions

  • Languages: Java, C#, SQL, .NET
  • Scripting: JavaScript, ASP, JSP, Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Ruby on Rails, Python
  • Design: UML, OOAD, Design Patterns
  • Methodology: SDLC, Agile
  • Web: ASP.NET, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, VBScript, XML, CSS
  • Distributed: ASP.NET Web Services, SOAP
  • Frameworks & Libraries: JFC, Java Swing, AWT, Struts 1 & 2, EJB, WPF, WCF
  • Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
  • Tools: Visual Studio 6.0/2005/2008/2010/2013, Visio, InstallShield, AD+, Windbg

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience with Technical Engineering Services project.
  • Bachelor’s degree in preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Ability to travel to offsite office and international project locations as required (approximately 20%)
  • Demonstrates ability to work with system owners, business owners, technical teams, and functional teams to design, implement, test, and validate a system
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of professional; strong written and oral communication
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiar with object-oriented programming techniques.
  • Design and develop software using PL/SQL, JavaScript and HTML
  • Familiarity with software engineering design patterns and practices.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and techniques.
  • Design and develop web applications
  • Debug complex legacy applications
  • Develop software that integrates to back end legacy and new systems
  • Conduct multiple levels of testing including unit, system, integration and performance
  • Experience with multiple programming languages and ability to learn new language syntax quickly.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle)
  • Familiarity with version control.
  • User Experience / UI Design
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements at a frequency as required by contract
  • Experience with business development activities

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Database Administration and System Administrator functions highly preferable Experience working on U.S. Government and military domestic and international projects
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills

  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Strong initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
