Primary Function

Provide support to environmental project to ensure compliance with environmental assessment requirements. To actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

Essential Functions

  • Provide day to day operational oversight of sites that may include the operation of incinerators, movement and packaging of solid waste, hazardous material and hazardous waste management, and ensuring compliance with environmental assessment requirements
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner consistent with Standard Operating Procedures of the equipment
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by managing policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Establish baseline audit protocol for waste programs and provide written documentation of audit results and corrective action plans
  • Communicate and document scope of compliance parameters for project
  • Provide follow-up and to ensure that corrective actions are tracked, and effectively communicate with project management
  • Proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiently and maintain compliance
  • Transport and store wastes to waste storage area and ensure that each is properly packaged, profiled and labeled

Job Requirements

  • Must have experience in management and supervision of managing technical personnel
  • Must have experience characterizing waste streams
  • Must have a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience of hazardous materials management and response to hazardous materials incidents/corrective actions
  • Must have 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher (if applicable)
  • Must have OSHA 8-hour On-Scene Incident Command Certification
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation at a frequency as required by contract
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements
  • Must possess valid passport
  • Must be fluent in speaking and writing the English Language
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a physical approving candidate for overseas work
  • Must have a valid and current Security Clearance
  • If former military, must have received an honorable discharge
  • Ability to identify problems, suggest solutions and react to change with a high degree of attention to detail 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CHMM, project or program management and supervisory experience, or CSP
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously 
  • Strong initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
