Primary Function

Aid communication by converting message or text from English for those at the duty location whose native language is not English. To actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

Essential Functions

  • Interpret the daily brief and assist to pass accurate information coming from any Limited English Proficiency speaking persons to the Security Team Leaders and Guards
  • Translate any company documents and conversations necessary for the project
  • Provide consecutive, meaning for meaning, first-person interpretation
  • Follow all company policies and procedures Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Shall be fluent in English speaking, writing, and reading (DLAT 3/3)
  • Must qualify semiannually with all assigned weapons (including safety functions, capabilities, limitations, and maintenance) IAW US Department of the Army Standards
  • One (1) to three (3) years of professional interpreting experience
  • Listens, correctly interprets messages, and responds appropriately 
  • Asks questions to clarify, and effectively exhibits two-way communication 
  • Tailors language, tone, style and format to match the audience 
  • Demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping employees informed 
  • Ability to communicate company practices with executives, clients, and employees
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older
  • Must be able to perform the following physical tasks:

(1) Drag, carry, lift, and/or pull a person to safety

(2) Use physical force to detain a subject or prevent unauthorized entry

(3) Prolonged standing and/or sustained patrol on foot or in a vehicle

(4) Sustained pursuit of suspect on foot

(5) Dodging, crawling, climbing, and/or rapid ascent of stairs

(6) Perform the above wearing duty equipment and/or personal protective equipment under adverse environmental conditions

  • Intermediate user level of computer systems, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), database applications, and documentation control systems
  • Must possess valid passport
  • Must be able to pass a medical screening approving candidate for overseas work
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements, to include an Annual Physical Ability Test
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation at a frequency as required by contract
