  • Primary Function

    Provides the highest level of support to end users by handling service requests requiring a strong technical understanding of technology, including the various hardware, software and networking systems being supported. Support will be provided onsite, remotely, over the phone, or via email.  Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated mission and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Receive, triage, prioritize, assign and track service tickets
    • Develop solutions for complex network, desktop, and server problems
    • Ensure stable, reliable production system operations by maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting daily system processes
    • Travel to OCONUS sites to provide support to operations and systems (as required)
    • Design systems and assess the effectiveness of technology resources already in use or new systems that are being implemented
    • Works with clients to evaluate and solve technical problems
    • Ability to follow up on assignments from members of the team, dealing with tight deadlines, and managing priorities effectively while providing excellent customer service
    • Configures and supports internal and/or external networks
    • Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Computer Science or equivalent of five (5) + years related experience
    • Network+, Security+, A+ certifications are desired
    • Other Network or Security certifications preferred but not required
    • Ability to analyze existing systems and make proactive recommendations for improvements.
    • Must be agile in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
    • Five (5) or more years of recent computer, server, and network troubleshooting experience
    • Must be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot technical problems
    • Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Office 365 Suite, SharePoint and other server applications
    • Solid understanding of Network LAN/WAN/VSAT Systems
    • Solid understanding of IPSEC/GRE VPN Tunnels
    • Solid understanding of Radio Communication Platforms
    • Solid understanding of VoIP/PBX communications (Cisco Call Manager)
    • Solid understanding of Information Systems Security and Forensics
    • Knowledge of Virtualization (VMWare, VSphere, and ESXI technologies)
    • Knowledge of Cisco network router and switches
    • Professional customer service skills
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability and willingness to work in an environment providing 24x7x365 support
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
    • Must be able to function effectively in an office environment
