  • Primary Function

    Responsible for in-country execution of task order.  Actively support and uphold the Company's stated vision, mission and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Report directly to Company Program Manager and coordinate with the Program Manager on all Task Order issues.
    • Implement Task Order Statement of Work/Objectives and Humanitarian Mine Action Country Plan as defined by the US Government Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement (PM/WRA).
    • Provide financial oversight of funds dispersed by the Company on behalf of the US Government, to include the Lao National Unexploded Ordnance Programme (UXO Lao) and the National Regulatory Authority for the UXO/Mine Sector in Lao PDR (NRA).
    • Coordinate with UXO Lao and NRA in UXO/Mine Sector planning, monitoring and evaluation process.  
    • Assist UXO Lao and NRA in achieving PM/WRA priorities of survey and establishment of Confirmed Hazardous Areas using technical and non-technical survey. 
    • Oversee development of technical, managerial, information management, quality assurance/quality control and logistics capacity within UXO Lao, NRA and other similar organizations as directed in the Task Order.
    • Liaise with government officials of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, US Embassy – Vientiane, NRA, UXO Lao, and international/national UXO Sector community as directed by Company Program Manager.
    • Manage Company’s in-country finances, administration, and logistics.
    • Manage Company’s in-country project personnel to include international Technical Advisors and local staff.
    • Compile and write monthly, weekly and ad hoc reports on project activities, goals and planning.
    • Facilitate in-country visitations by PM/WRA officials and/or Company representatives.

    Job Requirements

    • Associates degree required; undergraduate degree desirable
    • Education requirements may be met with 2 additional years of specialized experience
    • At least 6 years specialized experience in CWD and/or HMA management
    • Overseas work experience highly desirable, preferably for 2 or more years
    • Knowledge of applicable US DoD and IMAS standards, industry and international best practices
    • Knowledge of host country requirements and culture
    • If former military must have received a honorable discharge
    • Must be available to work outside the normal schedule when dictated by needs of the company
    • Ability to travel to, and/or work in, an austere, hostile, or remote location.
    • Must be willing to deploy OCONUS
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
    • Must be able to pass a physical approving candidate for overseas work
