  • Primary Function

    Manages the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology infrastructure to include systems and application administration, database administration, network and telephone administration, user support and business application development. Actively supports and upholds the Company’s stated vision, mission and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage the technology vision and planning process to regularly evaluate existing capabilities and recommend new technologies to support the company mission
    • Accountable for the maintenance, development, and implementation of Janus' Management Information Systems documents to include plans, work instructions, forms, standard operating procedures, and training
    • Responsible for educating the workforce on all IT-related matters
    • Lead, develop, train, and supervise department personnel
    • Management of IT solutions providers.
    • Meet regularly with company leadership to evaluate the state of the Information Technology infrastructure
    • Identify and make recommendations for improvement and development and help determine associated priorities
    • Develop and manage department budget
    • Provide ongoing guidance and direction to improve operational excellence and overall customer satisfaction
    • Establish, manage and report on critical IT performance metrics for operations, user support and project management
    • Actively participate in company proposal efforts to include technical writing, pricing and staffing
    • Advise stakeholders of concepts and emerging technologies including to provide overall technical responsibility and supervision of engineering resources to ensure the timely and economical development of technical proposals in support of sales

    Job Requirements

    • College degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent relevant work experience
    • At least ten (10) years experience in IT/MIS with at least five (5) years of supervisory experience
    • Previous experience working in a government contracting environment preferred
    • Working knowledge of one or more of the following federal regulatory and compliance mandates and/or other various government agency requirements (FAR, DFAR, DCAA, DCMA, SOX)
    • Proven track record of technical program and project management
    • Understanding of formal IT framework principles (ITIL, COBIT, ISO)
    • Industry Certifications are a plus (Cisco, Microsoft, ISACA, PMI, etc.)
    • International experience preferred
    • Thorough understanding of the Federal, DOD, DOE, and/or DOS RFP Process
    • Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN architecture (experience with VSAT connectivity and RF technologies)
    • Must be eligible for a US Security Clearance
    • Advanced user level of computer systems, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), human resource information systems (HRIS), Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, database applications, and documentation control systems
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
    • Ability to identify problems, suggest solutions and react to change with a high degree of attention to detail
    • Ability to gain internal support and to operate independently without supervision
      •Ability to establish working relationships with customers, other companies, technical staff, managers and peers
    • Must act with high ethical values and uphold corporate philosophy and confidentiality
    • Ability to work outside normal work hours including weekends with short notice when dictated by work load
    • Ability to routinely travel away from primary work location in excess of normal work day
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Must be able to work OCONUS as needed.
