  • Primary Function

    Provides expertise and support to all site teams, assist with development of clear, accurate reports, and working knowledge of different environmental systems. To actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Tracks and Coordinates environmental issues to include, but not limited to:
      • Burn pits, incinerators, medical waste, air sampling, ash sampling
      • Waste management, recycling, balers
      • Hazardous Waste, hazardous materials
      • Drinking Water, water wells
      • Wastewater, lagoons, waste water treatment plants
    • Performs technical reviews and analyses of program/project planning, design, and related material and ongoing program/project activities
    • Develops and/or interprets and implements specific program/project requirements as well as overall environmental program issues in accordance with applicable environmental laws, executive orders, and regulations, SOPs, and other environmental guidance as deemed applicable, including host nation laws and regulations and final governing standards, as available and applicable
    • Serves as a technical expert in environmental protection including conducting environmental inspections and surveys
    • Provides technical expertise for a wide range of environmental protection issues or concerns including air, potable water, wastewater, hazardous materials/waste, solid waste, asbestos abatement, noise, underground storage tanks, etc.
    • Evaluates activities compliance in accordance with governing standards regulations, and requirements
    • Responsible for identifying the need for and coordinating the collection, compiling, analyzing, and reporting of environmental compliance and pollution data for various media including water, wastewater, soil, or hazardous waste/material, or other site-specific sampling requirements deemed necessary to support and/or facilitate environmental protection program/project objectives and requirements
    • Continually informs and provides feedback to the Task Order Manager of all relevant issues and concerns and activity progress as necessary
    • May be required to provide Site Manager support to a Site Team to ensure there is adequate support to manage Environmental Corrective Actions

    Job Requirements

    • Must have the appropriate experience in  in developing Environmental Condition Reports (ECR); performing ESCS assessments; assisting Environmental Officers; conducting environmental training; and coordinating with USFOR-A AND ASG-A and the Logistics Civilian Augmentation Program (LOGCAP)
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation at a frequency as required by contract
    • Intermediate user level of computer systems, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), database applications, and documentation control systems
    • Must possess valid passport
    • Must be fluent in speaking and writing the English Language
    • Must have valid driver's license
    • Must be able to pass an OSHA physical in accordance with contract requirements
    • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements
    • Must have a valid and current Security Clearance
    • If former military, must have received an honorable discharge
    • Ability to identify problems, suggest solutions and react to change with a high degree of attention to detail
    • Must have experience in applicable safety standards
