  • Primary Function

    Maintain accounting documentation regarding the issuance of all Government Property (GP), and Contractor Acquired Property to Contractor employees, or subcontractors, and shall coordinate with the Government Property Administrator as applicable. To actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage Janus' responsibility from the initial acquisition and receipt of property, through stewardship, custody, and use. The responsibility extends until formally relieved of responsibility by authorized means, including delivery, consumption, expending, sale (as surplus property), or other disposition, or via a completed investigation, evaluation, and final determination for any loss of Government property. This requirement applies to all Government property under Sterling’s accountability, stewardship, possession or control, including its vendors or subcontractors.
    • Conduct tracking, reporting, and the dispositioning of Government property acquired by Janus in the performance of Government contracts
    • Responsible for controlling access to Government property and monitoring the use and maintenance of Government property
    • Maintain the primary tracking, reporting, and disposition records of all accountable Government property in the possession of Janus and its subcontractors
    • Generates all contractually required Government property reports

    Job Requirements

    • Three (3) to five (5) years property management experience on U.S. Government projects; familiarity with asset management software for property and materials
    • Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) required, Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM) preferred
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation at a frequency as required by contract
    • Intermediate user level of computer systems, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), database applications, and documentation control systems
    • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate company practices with executives, clients, and employees
    • Must possess valid passport
    • Must be fluent in speaking and writing the English Language
    • Must have valid driver's license
    • Must be able to pass an OSHA physical in accordance with contract requirements
    • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements
    • Must be eligible for US Security Clearance
    • If former military, must have received an honorable discharge
    • Ability to identify problems, suggest solutions and react to change with a high degree of attention to detail
    • Must have experience in applicable safety standards
