  • Primary Function

    Provide high-level project management operations support by overseeing all aspects of work for assigned projects including management and oversight of budgets, contract compliance, and scope of work procedures, manpower, logistics, and administrative actions. Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Supervise project staff;
    • Optimize operations plan to meet changing business needs;
    • Identify, anticipate and resolve customer issues in a timely manner;
    • Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives;
    • Perform regular operations reviews to identify any issues/inconsistencies;
    • Develop a schedule for implementing business operations within time and budget constraints;
    • Perform resource allocation and work assignment for implementing business operations;
    • Attend meetings and provide briefs to the client, DMAC, and other organizations;
    • Implement changes in workflow and work scope to meet business expectations;
    • Oversight of sub-contractors;
    • Verification that rental equipment, housing, and vehicles and fuel, travel, and supply requests are in support of on-going and pending operations;
    • Assist with the preparation of Sole Source Justifications, Vender Service Agreements, and Statement of Works for vendors and sub-contractors as required to support operations;
    • Respond to Requests for Information;
    • Monitor production levels and maintain a database;
    • Develop and update Operational Plan;
    • Review Non-conformity Reports for Root Cause Analysis;
    • Conduct Accident Investigations in conjunction with the Safety and QA Departments;
    • Provides leadership, management, and direction, in coordination with the Project Manager;
    • Accountable for the schedule, performance, and quality of activities and resources;
    • Oversee Programs/Projects to ensure operations are effectively managed, on schedule, within budget, meeting PMWIs (Project Manager Work Instruction) to ensure operations and company success;
    • Implements program strategies to mitigate risk and maintain continuity of operations in accordance with the task order requirements;
    • Provides leadership, management, and direction, in coordination with the Project Manager, for task order contractor personnel;
    • Ensures timely and accurate reporting;
    • Presents briefings to internal and external agencies as required;
    • Makes recommendations to the Project Management in relation to projects and opportunities;
    • Make assignments concerning incoming proposals ensuring level workloads and effective skill management; balance personnel strengths, weaknesses, and working relationships;
    • Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of all assigned communication and correspondence;
    • Capable of filling in for Forward Project Manager’s operational duties, as assigned;
    • Acts in accordance with the Company Ethics Program;
    • Reports to the Forward Project Manager;
    • Additional duties as directed.

    Job Requirements

    • Relative college degree preferred or combination of experience and education in Operations or a related field.
    • Ten (10) years of successful operational management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
    • A NATO or US secret clearance is required.
    • Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project & Outlook), Primavera Project Management software, database and documentation control systems.
    • Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously; personnel, budgets, materials, and time;
    • If former US Military, must have honorable discharge.
    • Possess a valid driver’s license.
    • Must have a valid passport and visa.
    • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a CAC and ISAF Badge.
    • Must be available to work outside the normal schedule as required by needs of the company.
    • Ability to work in harsh working conditions, outdoors, and/or in extreme temperatures.
    • Ability to work in a remote and potentially austere location for up to six months.
    • Must be willing to deploy OCONUS.
    • Must be capable of traversing rugged terrain for extended periods of time (8 plus hours per day).
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation.
    • Must be able to pass a physical approving the candidate for overseas work.
    • Current 40 HR HAZWOPER Certification.
    • Current 8 HR HAZWHOPER Certification (If applicable).
