  • Primary Function

    Reviews, negotiates, and administers all business aspects, terms, conditions and risk mitigation of international and U.S. based commercial contracts and subcontracts in support of Janus operations. Actively supports and upholds the Company’s stated vision, mission and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Review government and commercial RFPs, teaming agreements, contracts, change orders and other legally binding documents
    • Provide advice to management/technical personnel and negotiate agreements with clients
    • Coordinate review of these documents with internal departments including Legal and Risk Management as necessary
    • Obtain Certificates of Insurance and Bonds as required
    •  Advise/train technical staff regarding contract administration, risk avoidance, change order management, as needed
    • Ensure RFP’s, contracts and other documents are properly reviewed, approved, and documented
    • Provide support as requested in areas of contract close-out, indirect rate adjustments, federal government audits, proposal preparation, etc.

    • Assist Legal Counsel in obtaining and administering company licenses (U.S. and International)

    Job Requirements

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field preferred or equivalent relevant work experience
    • Seven to ten (7-10) years of relevant experience in related field
    • Basic to working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and related agency supplements, as well as fundamental commercial contracting principles and general business law preferred
    • Security, environmental, and/or civil construction industry knowledge/experience preferred
    • Knowledge/experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations preferred
    • Advanced user level of computer systems, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), database applications, and documentation control systems
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
    • Ability to identify problems, suggest solutions and react to change with a high degree of attention to detail
    • Ability to gain internal support and to operate independently without supervision
    • Ability to establish working relationships with customers, other companies, technical staff, managers and peers
    • Must act with high ethical values and uphold corporate philosophy and confidentiality
    • Ability to work outside normal work hours including weekends with short notice when dictated by work load
    • Ability to occasionally travel away from primary work location
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Must be able to function effectively in an office environment
