  • Primary Function

    The Deputy Program Manager will provide high-level program management by overseeing aspects of work for assigned projects including management and oversight of budgets, contract compliance, and scope of work procedures, manpower, logistics, and administrative actions.  Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Performs site inspections/investigations as necessary, collecting, processing, and evaluating data collected
    • Manages assigned tasks within projects to successfully meet cost, schedule and technical goals
    • Advise direct supervisor of immediate or anticipated requirements for additional personnel, materials or miscellaneous support as it relates to the successful execution of the project
    • Ensures confidential and ethical handling of all assigned communication and correspondence
    • Evaluates and reports program budgets including overhead, business development, and bid and proposal
    • Ensures that all travel arrangements for personnel traveling to and from other countries in support of the contract are completed and documented, including but not limited to transport, housing, passport and visa, immunizations, letters of authorization (LOAs), etc.
    • Assists in the planning, development, administration and logistics support to assigned task orders including overseeing and coordinating inventory management, procurement actions, maintenance, repairs, and serviceability of all program equipment
    • Facilitates capture efforts, proposal development, pipeline development and portfolio management
    • Assists in strategic program planning and strategy to include forecasts, investments, and client plans
    • Coordinates with industry leadership such as professional business associations and trade organizations to build effective relationship to support the assigned task order and program manager
    • Reviews information and prepares summary and final reports for presentation to executives, customers and high-profile clients
    • On a short-term basis, and only in the absence of the PM or other PM qualified personnel, may assume the on-site role and responsibilities of the PM in an acting capacity

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field preferred or equivalent, relevant work experience
    • Must have five (5) years advanced experience with project/program management
    • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred
    • Ability to work outside normal work hours including weekends
    • Polished verbal and written communication skills to include technical and proposal writing skills
    • Ability to communicate company practices with senior executives and employees
    • Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Primavera Project Management software, database and documentation control systems
    • Intermediate knowledge of cost analysis and budget forecasting
    • Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously (personnel, budgets, materials, and time)
    • Experience in conflict resolution and mentoring
    • Ability to identify problems, suggest solutions and react to change with a high degree of attention to detail and foresight
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
    • Must be willing to deploy OCONUS
    • Must be able to pass a physical approving candidate for overseas work
    • Ability to work in a remote and potentially austere location for up to six (6) months
    • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements
