  • Primary Function

    Provide intermediate accounting support by performing a variety of accounting duties involving general financial clerical work in connection with keeping, reviewing, and preparing financial or statistical records. Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

    Essential Functions

    • Assist in the preparation and review of invoices
    • Prepare, verify, and analyze documents for accuracy for invoicing
    • Work with Billing staff, Project Managers, and Project Controls staff to ensure billing accuracy and efficiency
    • Reconcile and explain unbilled amounts
    • Maintain and reconcile billing files against government contracts
    • Ensure that the correct account numbers are used and reconcile any discrepancies
    • Review and understand contract documents for information related to billing
    • Assist AR Manager with reporting deliverables

    Job Requirements

    • Related College Degree preferred or combination of experience and education in the Accounting or related field
    • Five (5) years Accounts Receivable experience
    • Government invoicing and billing experience required
    • Knowledge of various contract types (FUP, T&M, CPFF, etc) and federal government contracts preferred
    • Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), database and documentation control systems
    • Strong attention to detail 
    • Experience with interpreting contract language and requirements
    • Experience with Costpoint highly desired
    • Overtime may be required
    • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
    • Must be able to function effectively in a normal office environment
    • Strong written and oral presentation skills 
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent organization skills
    • Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously 
    • Strong initiative
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
